A studied approach to spring-summer 2015 through our most favored visual principles; pulled from the page of out private journals.
The 2015 Spring-Summer season marks La Garçonne’s tenth
anniversary. To commemorate the moment, Atelier No. 3 is
a look inward with an ode to our most favored visual
principles: musings on vintage suburbia, the makings of
a definitive uniform, an admiration for indigo, and
refashioned basics. At last, our final chapter is a
nostalgic look at the seventies, by way of the eighties,
and marks the look of the season as we see it. Between
each story is our Artist Series, a thoughtful pause in
the form of an homage to influencers we turn to often,
as though a rule. Agnes Martin’s studied consistency,
Rinko Kawauchi’s elucidation of softened beauty, and
Joan Didion’s erudite approach to effortless style
all offer a unified narrative of the modern garçonne.
This issue is a collection of style notes, both
in dress and way of living, pulled from
the pages of our own private journals.
